G1 Camera Module Configuration File Setting Instructions

The G1 camera module is a full-featured camera module developed by Huaxing Video based on the iCatch chip.Camera moduleThe combination has the advantages of low power consumption and high performance, fast operation, simple use, and rich functions, which can better meet the needs of users for shooting. The G1 camera module can set the parameters of the module in three ways: through APP settings, through touch screen settings, and through configuration files to meet the product needs of different users.

Any combination of G1 camera modules can have their parameters set through the configuration file. G1 camera modules without wifi function and touch screen can only have their parameters set through the configuration file. The following are instructions for setting the parameters of the G1 camera module through the configuration file:

1. Contact the staff to obtain the configuration files and documentation for the corresponding version

The configuration file names of camera modules with different sensors are different, and the corresponding parameters are different. For example, the G1 camera module with IMX377 sensor can only useIMX377 Camera ModuleThe configuration file of the IMX258 camera module cannot be used.

Taking the G1 camera module with the IMX377 module as an example, the file name of the configuration file is "CameraConfig_G1A.ini". To avoid input errors that cause the configuration file settings to fail to take effect, do not modify the file name of the configuration file.

2. According to the instructions, understand the contents of the configuration file and modify the settings in the configuration file

After getting the configuration file, open it on the computer for editing. The description document is the Chinese description of the configuration file. Through the description document, find the parameters that need to be set in the configuration file and modify the value after "=". For example: fs_ImageSize=2, the value after "=" in the line of "fs_" in all parameters can be set, and each value has a corresponding parameter.

3. Make the configuration file effective

After modifying the configuration file on the computer, save it, and then put the configuration file into the root directory of the TF memory card, and insert the memory card into the camera module. Use the button to turn on and off the camera, and after turning it on again, the configuration file settings will take effect.

Notice:

The G1 camera module needs to be turned on and off by pressing a button in order for the configuration file to take effect. It cannot be turned on and off by directly cutting off the power.

When the G1 camera module is connected to a computer via USB, it will enter USB disk mode and PCCAM mode, and the configuration file cannot take effect.

If you are not powered by a battery, you can use a USB connection to a power bank or a USB connection to a mobile phone charger to power the camera module.

4. After the configuration file settings take effect, the configuration file in the memory card can be deleted

After the parameter settings in the G1 camera module configuration file take effect, the configuration file in the memory card can be deleted. After deletion, the settings will not change. You can also choose not to delete and keep it in the memory card.

If you set the configuration file in the above way and it has not taken effect, it is recommended to keep only the content that needs to be set in the configuration file and delete the other content, because all parameters are in the configuration file, which may cause parameter setting conflicts. For example, if you only need to set the resolution and frame rate of the recorded video, then only keep these parameters in the configuration file.
